On Friday, the 7th of March, 2008 the South African Police Service conducted drug raids on three pubs in Stellenbosch – Mystic Boer, Bohemia and Springbok pub. Through the course of these raids the police stepped across quite a few lines. They fired shots in rooms full of innocent people, they pointed armed guns straight at people without any provocation, they “searched” women by feeling inside of their underwear, assaulted a number of people, and commited numerous other felonies. This song was written in reaction.
